Some pileated gibbons were put in rehab in the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Centre. Most were rescued from illegal meat or pet trade. In the program they allow the mothers to raise their offspring. This allows gibbons to be prepared for the wild. This is an example of something that is helping the gibbons to regrow their population.
