THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT
The Endangered Species Act is a crucial piece in saving endangered species. The act was passed in 1973 and helps to save the endangered species everywhere. They have set aside areas of land called conservation banks that are permanently protected and watched over. These areas of land are the habitats and homes to many endangered species and other at-risk species. Not only does the ESA directly contribute to helping animals, they team up with states all over America to encourage everyone to help out. States are prompted to develop and maintain programs to conserve endangered species. The Endangered Species Act's ultimate goal is to help recover all animals in danger of going extinct.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are many simple ways that you can help endangered apes and species in your community. Simple changes in daily routines could be the difference between an extinct or saved animal. Take a small chunk out of your day not only to support animals in need, but to play a role in saving the Earth. We can all help to save the endangered species in our world. Start by doing these simple at home projects.
LEND A HAND
Take a little chunk out of your schedule to help the animals in your community. Along with assisting the animals, also clean up and fix their habitats. Go out into your county today and look around for habitats in your area and pick up any garbage or junk around that area. It could be as simple as picking up a wrapper and putting it into the trash can. It doesn't matter how little you pitch in to help. Imagine if everyone on Earth helped out for 5 minutes everyday to save their communities and the wildlife near them. Our world would be completely different.
THINK OF OTHERS
When you go shopping, only buy what you need. Don't buy too many things you want. Humans use lots of Earth's resources and it takes a long time for them to regenerate. If you are ever in the store, remember that Earth can only give us so many amazing things. If we keep taking and never give back, we are soon going to be all out of resources. Recycling, reducing, and reusing is a great way to contribute to saving the Earth and the wonderful creatures that live on it. Save energy by turning lights off more frequently and trying to take shorter showers. When you recycle, you save water, electricity, energy, and many more resources.
